"Economics is not an arcane knowledge,
but the key to understanding the world
and our daily decisions."

Talking economics

AN ENCOUNTER WITH THE IDEAS
THAT SHAPE OUR DECISIONS

Talking economics launches a pedagogical trilogy that explores the behavior of consumers and businesses, monetary and fiscal policy, and international trade and finance. It does so through rigorous dialogues and imaginary interviews with iconic economists, from Adam Smith to Paul Krugman. Inspired by the Platonic tradition, it places ideas in their historical context and highlights their continued relevance.

Throughout three volumes, the work reveals that economics is not a set of abstract formulas, but a powerful lens for interpreting our daily decisions in the face of scarcity. Far from the technical jargon and advanced mathematics of traditional textbooks, Conversational Economics offers clear explanations, everyday examples, and accessible reasoning.

More than transmitting knowledge, this work proposes a new way of thinking about the world, its resources, and our place in it. It is an essential tool for navigating the complex economic reality of the 21st century with discernment. Discover economics like never before: through questions, not dogmas.

It is aimed at humanities students, educators, journalists, and interested readers who do not have technical training in economics. And at economists, too, of course.
